Default masters of the universe blu-ray petition

Well im not sure it will be many but how many people would like this on blu-ray? Its not gonna win any oscars but its such good fun.
and its got my vote I WANT THIS ON BLU-RAY WARNER!!!
Who likes that bit where skeletor gains the power and goes all shiny with a big crown that is wobbling and nearly falling off his head .Does anyone think in time everything you can think of will be on the format like dvd? I think its going to have to be much more popular than it is now for that to happen.

Here's another good point:
WARNER DOESN'T OWN THE GOLAN/GLOBUS CATALOG.

(MGM used to, but think it changed hands, as they've been out of it for a while...Think Paramount's got it now, as the HD print you're looking for did surface on PS Network Store a while back, and looked fairly spiffy.
Unless you mean the original cartoon, which BCI used to own before they went under.)

Oh, and Street Fighter was Universal. (For those who remember the opening-logo gag.)

I actually really liked the Street Fighter movie. It was one of my first Blu Ray purchases. I would also like Masters of the Universe but I don't think it is better than SF.

I own the DVD

...but yeah I'd welcome a blu-ray, but I have a feeling it's going to be a while.

I'd get this film. I was a huge fan of the animated series and the 80's film when I was a child. And, interestingly enough, I recently downloaded the Bill Conti score for this film and have been really diggin' it. Sure, it's a rip-off of John Williams Star Wars and Superman scores, but it's good ol' nostalgic fun.

Also, I don't own Masters on DVD currently, and I ditched my VHS copy long ago. So, I would definitely get this on Blu.

A lot of people are asking about who owns the rights to the movie, so I looked into it. The worldwide theatrical and home-video rights (as well as international TV rights) to the majority of Cannon's library are owned by MGM. The theatrical and home video rights to most Cannon films made after 1987 are now with Warner Bros., including Masters of the Universe. WB put out the DVD for MotU and they will eventually put out the blu-ray. Anyone who wants this movie on blu-ray better start hoping that the remake comes to fruition.

Paramount owns the rights to distribute the Cannon library (except Lifeforce) on digital platforms. Obviously, that is the reason that their logo is on the PS3 download.

Showtime has been playing Masters of the Universe in HD recently and I recorded it to my DVR. It looks great!

This movie obviously has its faults, but you couldn't ask for better villains. Frank Langella and Meg Foster are marvelous in this film!

MGM owns the theatrical and home-video rights, while the television rights belong to Sony Pictures Television. The digital distribution is where it gets tricky. MGM and Sony seem to have some sort of co-distributorship.
