Persona remake for PSP SEPT 22nd

It may look like an isometric-view depiction of the "Thriller" video featuring flight attendants, but the game pictured above is actually the original Revelations: Persona -- which, according to a rumor reported on 1UP, is being remade by Atlus for PSP.

Hong Kong games mag GameWave reports that said remake of the game -- which eventually spawned last year's superb Persona 4 -- will release in Japan on April 30, 2009 for ¥5,040 ($57). 1UP points out that GameWave has been dead-on with previous reports on pending PSP announcements, lending this rumor a little more weight than usual. We've followed up with Atlus' US branch, who remained tight-lipped.

I recently started Persona 3 FES, and it is pretty fricking awesome so far, and I have heard only great things about Persona 4.

SMT: Digital Devil Saga 1/2 are supposed to be pretty good as well though I never got a chance to play them.

I am playing 4 and it is awesome!
Digital Devil Saga was a great series that got very little attention! I wish I had kept the game after I beat it...I want to replay it pretty badly. I have the OST though!

Go out and find DDS if you can. It was awesome. Was Persona 1 worth being played by anyone? All I seem to hear is that the first two games weren't exactly "American friendly", i.e. too much dating sim or some such....

Don't forget that Atlus ported the original Disgaea. That's a VERY important fact.

Okay I understand not liking a game like persona, but how can you hate Atlus.. the company that brings so much joy into life in general... Alundra?

I hope they remake #2 as well. Having 1-4 in the same style would be awesome. It'll help pass the time to play 1 and 2 while we wait for 5 on PS3!
