Default La Pucelle Tactics PSP remake

http://www.siliconera.com/2009/08/31...-port-for-psp/

Quote:
Missed out on La Pucelle Tactics? Nippon Ichi will give PSP owners a chance to pick up a port on November 26. (Thanks for the tip Jose!!)

La Pucelle Ragnarok, like all of Nippon Ichi’s PlayStation 2 to PSP ports, contain enhancements. In addition to interface options like skipping battle animations and more voice acting, La Pucelle Ragnarok has an extra four act scenario starring Demon Prier and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness characters like Laharl, Etna and Flonne as bonus bosses. Disgaea characters in another Nippon Ichi game? I’m shocked.

All jokes aside, the North American version, if* NIS America decides to work on La Pucelle Ragnarok, could have a new localization too. Mastiff released La Pucelle Tactics in North America and censored some religious references before NIS America opened their doors.

* There isn’t an official confirmation, but NIS America is totally going to publish La Pucelle Ragnarok. What strategy RPG port have we missed out on? While were waiting for a press release check out these scans of the Japanese version.

I'm *SO* relieved to know this isn't happening here for another year (at least). I haven't played either my PSP or PS3 for a month (been re-reading Wheel of Time, MUST get done by October 27th!) I'm already behind on SO MANY games I would like to play, like FFD. Plus, there's Monster Hunter still sitting there, taking the back burner position.

Thanks for the info, Moonphase! I'm definitely stoked, though. I always heard that La Pucelle was as good as Disgaea (at least in the plot/voice acting departments.)

La Pucelle is kind of what got Disgaea started since La Pucelle came out first then about 1 or 2 years later Disgaea came out with a similar battle system.

Here's to hoping that they add in a "Turn off battle animations" feature to La Pucelle. They make Disgaea's attacks look speedy, and make slogging through the PS2 game obnoxiously slow.

Read much? In the original, posted article that at least this part was posted on this page:

"La Pucelle Ragnarok, like all of Nippon Ichi’s PlayStation 2 to PSP ports, contain enhancements. Did this actually come out? I've kept an eye out for it in stores, but have never seen it.... I don't see it on Amazon, either. Does this mean (that as the article *does* state) that they falsely reported this on the basis of presumption, thus getting our hopes up falsely? I really hope they got lumps of coal in their stockings for Christmas....

It's way too soon for any kind of announcement outside of Japan. The article was just an announcement that this is what NIS of Japan is up to these days and bringing back the La Pucelle series since after all this is an old thread. But it hasn't even been 2 months since it came to Japan so just got to wait for NIS of America to announce something.

Ahh, I was under the impression (since the site is in English, and they said "we PSP owners" would get a port) that the game was coming out Stateside on November 26th. I wondered why they were announcing a date, then retracting the possibility of the port.

Regarding this being an old thread... "we are not supposed to make multiple topics about the same thing over and over and over again", so I dug this up since it is the "official" LPT thread....

Wow a demo after about 5 months of the game being released in Japan.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I have an opportunity to pick up La Pucelle: Tactics (PS2) used from Hollywood Video for $6. I'd be all for waiting and paying $30-40 for extra content and being on PSP, though....

Well there is that NISA Press Event 2010 happening in July with their yearly announcements of games that they will release(I can say that 1 of those is most likely Ar tonelico III and the other looks like Classic Dungeon) but they could always announce other games besides those so just got to wait and see.

I really want to play this game again but unedited.

So, it will probably be another year, then. I'm going to go ahead and order Ar Tonelico (1), as I found it for $30 shipped on Amazon. That way I can feel justified in starting on Ar Tonelico 2, which I've been sitting on for a year now.

Yeah because the 3rd game has a lot of references of the 2nd game(as well as characters from the 1st game appear). But yeah I say with that series it's best when playing it in order since of how the stories connect to one-another.

As for La Pucelle I say hold off on the PS2 version for now. I know NIS of America didn't exist when La Pucelle hit stateside but I do kind of support them to localize this PSP version.
