Default Help! Odd noise!

When ever my I turn on my PS3 and select the blu-ray from the PS3 menu, during the transition period when the PS3 switches to the movie I get a quick odd crackling noise coming from my speakers.. almost like feedback... has anyone had this problem before? any suggestions?

FYI I have an HDMI running to my receiver then to my TV

You can try tightening up all your speaker wire connections and make sure that none of them are touching each other.

I tightened them all up.. still making the loud crackling noise right before the PS3 switches to the blu-ray and when stopping the movie and going to home PS3 screen...Also switched out HDMI cables and same noise..

Hmm. I don't know what else to suggest, make sure the HDMI cables are tight too. Try one of the Mod's they may have a better suggestion.

BTW, how are your TSi 400s I saw those online today and was curious about their sound.

I love the TSI-400's... for the price you can't go wrong. I picked them up at best buy and they were having a deal where they threw in the PSW-10 sub. I'm still looking for some good bookshelf speakers to complete the 5.1 but even set up as 3.1 right now just blows me away... I find myself paying more and more attention to sound, and loving explosive action flix!!

I had the same problem. I think its the yamaha 463 receiver. I never could understand why it did it. I sold the yammie and switched to onkyo and never heard it again. I dont know if it happens with all the yammie's but I personally know about the 463. HATED the noise. So I think its the receiver.
