OK I just bought some speakers and I have a problem. I have 4 polk moniter 70's 2 on front and 2 in the back, and I have 2 center speakers polk csi3 and a cs1, my sub woofer is a PSW505. My receiver is a Yamaha 663
First which center should I use? Also what should I have my speakers set at? small or large. should I also have my bass set to both front and sub or just sub? Thanks |

The cs1 matches the monitor line, the csi3 s for the the rti line. You could set your speakers to large and see how they sound or set them to small and cross them over at 80 hz and let you sub handle everything under 80. Its all about what you like when you hear it. I also would suggest getting the cs2 for the center if you could sell the cs1 or csi3. The cs2 would timbre match and want be overpowered by your 70's. I just upgrade my cs10 to a cs2 and love it. I have all monitors also.

Easy answer is all small and set sub to by pass,Then in your reciever set crossover setting to 80Hz .
This is what iam useing and trust me ive done it all.Large ,small, 40hrz, 60hz, 80hz and back again. ![]() I think this setting could be a great starting point for you This thread has helped me alot and BigDaddy is all over it check it out https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=31436 Last edited by ozzman; 01-24-2009 at 05:49 AM. |
