Letting young people see violence vs nudity in movies

Okay..I am showing my 16 yr old son BOB's..
I know its war and there is cussing and blood and all that fun stuff....but we are not to the point to where he needs to see naked girls. I know it doesnt happen until one of the later episodes...but which episode does it have the naked girl on top of the guy? To further that question...anyone have a time in the show around when it happens? (If anyone knows that)

I just cant handle watching w/ my son some girl on top of a guy at this juncture in my life...so we are trying to avoid that little scene.

Episode 9 in the first 5 minutes. kpkelley is right. At age 16 he is probably "experimenting" with his body.

Yeah, probably better to nip it in the bud now and get it over with. In two/three years he'll be going to college and you will no longer be able to influence the way he thinks about and treats women. Take the time now, so you don't have to worry about him later.

A mild suggestion, he's your kid, I'm sure you know him best.

Keep in mind that the United States has a fairly puritanical view of nudity. In Europe it is not unique to have nearly fully nude advertisements in full view of the public. We generally take less caution with violence than nudity, in the rest of the world this is reversed.

I'll be honest, I think it's interesting you are all nonchalant for the blood and swearing but are concerned about exposing your kid to a woman's body.

and everyone else is right, he got there a LONG time ago if he's 16.

I remember being in Ireland about 10 yrs ago and the first night in the hotel, we were watching tv. All of a sudden we came to a channel that showed you how to make love and was using live performers to do it. We said screw the rest of the trip..lets just watch tv. I never did see the show again.

I don't get it...all the violence, killing and blood in this film - OK ---- a little love-making - and it's NOT ok??? I would think that at 16 years old, he might know more than you think. But he is your child. Not too sure how much longer he can be sheltered from perfectly normal human behavior.

Yeah..very strange that I dont mind cussing and blood and what not...but boobies...just a whole other level.

Crap, I knew that door was locked for a reason.

Anyways..thanx..that was the info I needed. Now I can skip from episode 1 to 9 now.

Here's what my dad would tell when I was a teenager. I'll always remember him saying this: "Well, your gonna see them someday. No use in waiting." So that's what I think. My mom disagreed but that happens.
