Arrow Where do you get your Panny Plasma Calibrations from?

There are several ways to get your set calibrated... I was just wondering how you guys got yours done! I'm thinking of just Cnet's and fixing some these to make it right for me. You?

I know you specified Panny plasmas in this thread, but I'm a Sammy owner and I chimed in anyway. I tried using the Cnet recommended settings with my plasma when I first got it and after a little while I had to change it. Cnet's settings are based on a dark room, and in a dark room their settings would have probably been fine. However, my room isn't dark and in AVP2, I couldn't tell what the heck was going on most of the time. I ended up redoing mine with the THX optimizer. I know it's not the best calibration disk out there, but I'm 100% happier with my picture now. The point I'm trying to make is that your TV needs to be calibrated to your preferences in your viewing room. If viewing conditions are different for you than they are at Cnet, then their recommended settings may not work well for you.

For my particular TV (Samsung FP-T5084) there's a "click here" link in the review write-up that takes to you to the full list of recommended settings. You have to look closely for it while browsing through the article.

There is also Tweaktv.com for recommended settings.

However, I plan on using my DVE BD to calibrate mine. If I'm still not happy with it, I'll hire someone.
