Default how to clean streaks off an lcd screen...

ok well i have a 46inch sharp and a 24 inch dell hd monitor. This is really more for the dell monitor, but someone touched the screen and left finger prints and i went to clean it with my lcd cleaning soultion and cloth that came with it. And now it left streaks. could it be the souliton i used isnt very good. Should i buy a better one. I hear best buy has one that works really well. Is there another way to get these streaks out?

Best Buy has the Monster Cable - TV Screen Cleaning Kit $19.99.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1069297113224
Works well.

On a side note, a moist soft cloth(microfiber preferably) will do a great job as well.

I have also used Falcon Safety Products - Dust-Off Monitor Wipes $9.99
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1051384522262

Worked well also.

Do not buy this Monster Screen clean stuff, it ruined my screen on my Samsung LN-46A650!!! It makes the screen go from amazingly clear to super cloudy! I highly advise to not even bother with that product. I am desperately trying to get the cloudiness/smears out, and it is kind of working with a micro-fiber and plain water!

Am I the only person that "herrs" on the screen then wipe with a microfiber cloth?

I keep my cleaning to the same micro fiber cloth and I keep it dry at all times. I never use the cloth for anything but for the screen so as to not to introduce any "particles" that may had been absorbed if I had used the cloth to clean the bezel for example, which could result in scratching the screen.

Works great on my set and my TOTL VAIO screens!

Try not letting the solution dry on the screen.

I tried to be as fast as humanly possible. I sprayed a little on the provided micro-fiber rag then wiped it gently on the TV, then flipped the rag to a dry spot and wiped/buffed dry. And bam!, super hazy. I tried this for 2 hours yesterday! "Right before the game of course." I even thought there might be some oily residue on the rags, so I washed all of the rags and tried again. Same thing happened. The only thing that made it somewhat better, was dabbing the supplied rag into filtered water and wipe, then dry with another micro-fiber rag.

I know some have had good luck with that Monster brand, but all I can say is that is does not work on the glossy screen on the 650's... The whole bottle's in the trash...

Maybe it's the 650's screen.

These VAIO's have relatively smooth/glossy screens(polarized) and they clean rather easily with water, Falcon Monitor Wipes, or the Monster solution without streaks or cloudyness.

What was on the screen to start with?
Do you smoke?
How long do you go between cleanings?

Not trying to defend Monster, it's just that there has to be some combination of things causing it - otherwise it would happen to everyone.

That's exactly what it is. Don't sprey the whole screen then wipe. Spray on a small area or even half of the screen then wipe, then do the next side. you can't let that solution dry up on your screen.

if you want to really see what your LCD panel has on it. Shine a flashlight on it. You will be amazed at the crap you might not see with your eyeballs especially when watching a movie.

Yes!

Like any large surface(car anyone?) spray/wash a section, wipe/rinse that section and move on.
