Default What Film (Comic Book or otherwise) would you like to see being made.

Is there a comic book you would love to see being made into a film? How about a novel or short story? What hasn't Hollywood screwed up yet that you would like to see?

For me it's a comic book mini-series that came out in the mid 90's called Kingdom Come anybody remember that?

Sandman by Neil Gaiman

The visual style was really cool and the story is unique =].

I would love to see Kingdom Come made into a movie, hell it would be expensive as all get out but hey. I would aslo love to see a movie made out of the comic mini-series called Marvels. Also Frank Miller did a five issue series for Daredevil in 1994 called "The Man Without Fear." It was the origin story of the character and was supposed to be a script for a feature film but it got shelved and Frank rewrote it for a comic book series.

The Odyssey with Sean Bean as a non-official sequel to Troy.

I will have to second this one!

Also, with the recent release of "Blindness", "The double" by Jose Saramago would be interesting...

The "Prey" series by John Sandford...blows any of the James Patterson - Alex Cross novels out of the water. Would make amazing movies.

I accept them when a novel is turn into a movie but I know a lot of time it won't be as good as the original book so I try to keep my wishing quiet just in case they destroy something I truly love

Like someone said above, Sandman by Neil Gaiman would be nice to see on the big screen.

I think I agree with just about every one of your posts. No exception here.

It is ultimately all subjective but also it solely depends on the particular adaptation at hand and how it is developed and treated.

To say though that literature is a superior art form to cinema (I know you weren't implying that) is certainly something I would 250%-disagree with.

In the expansive comic adaptation, how about The Infinity Gauntlet, based on the mid-90's mini series? But Marvels would be really, really cool. Just finished re-reading that series. So nice.

infinity gauntlet was cool, but it wasn't mid 90's. the infinity trilogy had wrapped up by 93. great choice though and the fact that it's a trilogy would work in the film maker's favor. plus most of the avengers are involved and that could tie-in with the movie. the only problem is having to work out getting the fantastic four, the x-men (even though dead on screen), and spider-man in the picture.

Deadpool. although I think it might be better served as an Adult Swim type of show. Otherwise, I think that the Avengers will be interesting as long as they use the right characters, in my mind they are Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Wasp, Hank Pym.

An animated Kingdom Come film based off Alex Ross' drawings with a theatrical-size budget of a Disney movie. Maybe if Watchmen does awesome in box office something like this is possible.

Among Madmen. A post apocalyptic novel by Jim Starlin (of comic book fame) and one of my favs.

As far as Ender's Game is concerned, I think that an animated version is coming out later this year.

EDIT: Never mind, I just read that it got axed last month.
