I was thinking about picking one up this weekend. I got a price of $1,899. I like the Samsung LN52650 as well. Any thoughts?

If you are willing to buy on amazon, you can get the sammy 52a650, for $1,600 for a Warehouse deal at Amazon, which is open box, but they reseal it, and it is near perfect condition. If you are not worried about budget, you can buy one brand new sealed on Amazon for $1,846. The sammy is much more TV for your buck. I would say it is more comparable to Sony's XBR. A light-year ahead of the TV you are looking at for $1,900.

You think the Samsung's that much better? I saw it got better reviews than the Sony but I wasn't sure.

Here's the problem. I'm getting the TV on my Dell account and they don't have the LN52650 they just have these to chose from:
Sony Bravia 52" KDL52W4100 120HZ - $1,899 Sony Bravia 52" KDL52V4100 - $1,499 Samsung 52"’ LN52A550 - $1,499 What's my best option of these three? |

The KDLW model looks very much like the model I have that I bought
early last year--- the picture is outstanding and I'm very happy with it-- quite frankly the Sony AND the Samsung models are both top rated so you probably can't go wrong with any of them-- but I would get the Sony. |

Do you think the extra $400 is worth it going from the W4100 instead of the V4100?

For $1500 to $2000 you can get a 1080 front projector so to me it would be crazy to settle for a mere 50-60" when you can get 7 to 10 feet in HD for the same price!
