With all these movies getting remade now days,
What movies do you think are likely to be remade? Whether or not you want them to. I bet you Hollywood does these somewhere down the road- Legend Casablanca Ben-Hur ////Just made Senior member with this post/// Last edited by Blu Angel; 02-27-2009 at 06:43 AM. |

Well, they did a remake of The Pink Panther and it actually did well enough to get a sequel. I think the remake sequel bombed though as I haven't seen any ad's for it since it released. So, I think Hollywood will try and remake anything if they think people will go see it. I guess the next step is to start making remakes of remakes of remakes.

As of yesterday The Pink Panther 2 has made $43,731,766, and $30,000,000 of that is domestic.

Anyone who even attempts to remake these two should be caned in public as an example to others.

I can see them pulling remakes on Ben Hur & Legend but they better not even try Casablanca.

I've always wanted to see Tim Burton remake Plan 9 from Outer Space. I thought it would be a nice thematic follow up to Ed Wood. I remember reading somewhere that someone was in fact planning to redo this movie, but I'm sure it'll be trash. I wanted a quirky tribute. Oh well. In fact, a quick search shows that all the movies I was planning to list in this thread already do have remakes in the works. It's getting ridiculous. |
