Angry Post Gazette - "Sound Advice: HD DVD leaves Blu-ray in the dust"

"Q: Do you have a preference between HD DVD and Blu-ray? --

RHETT ELTON,
Seattle

A: I enthusiastically recommend HD DVD because it's a better product and a better proposition for consumers. Signs are showing it is going to trounce Blu-ray, and soon.

I know consumers are smart enough to see which way to go, and they're going to love their choice. Nice to get the best for half the price, isn't it?"

As I read this my blood began boiling. Where do these people come from?

They make one valid point......only walmart would sell a POS HD DVD player for $98.....or course its going to sell well......its 98! Most DVD players cost more! Everything else is pretty much just BS IMO. I havent seen any HD only adds from walmart either. Let them spout all the shit they want...come 1st quarter 08 I picture some major changes in favor of Blu, and I want to see this type of response then!

Was just reading that article a couple minutes ago. Boy did it infuriate me. Of course, he is too afraid to leave his comments section open or an email address to tell him why he is wrong. Some of the lies he spouts in there should be illegal.

What signs?

I am still confident. Consumers are smart and Blu-Ray will win.

You know what's funny? In the article he quoted:

Can Blu-ray survive?: http://www.projectorcentral.com/blu-ray_2.htm

Now, if you're going to make an argument and quote sources like this... how about something CURRENT? This article is from July of 2006.

Sadly, I think it's just another horribly misinformed dummy spreading his "knowledge" on to countless others.

Newspaper circulation is going down in some situations something like 10% per year. Seems people are growing tired of the BS they publish. These column writers just never catch on that they are basically stupid about a lot of things, but they write about them anyway.

That is one of the worst pieces of writing I have ever seen in my life.

Its a shame we can't sue someone for writing so much FUD as that. Jesus christ.
