OOP Movies

Is there a site that tells when movies will be out of print. I.E. Sleeping Beauty. Basically I'm waiting to buy a few titles but if they end up being OOP I don't want to end up paying a buttload for something I coulda bought for $20 now.

The only movies OOP at the moment are those which were updated to better versions. Like Terminator 3.

I also think T3 is the only OOP Blu Ray,yes there are lots OOP DVD's that get high dollar on sites like ebay,actually I can think of another Blu that is quite rare,the original Led Zep The Song Remais The Same Blu(the 2 DVD set was pulled as well) that has a Cameron Crowe interview,that one was pulled quickly and reissued a few months later w/out the Crowe interview,so anybody has that one has a true rareity,I kept mine because I'm a big Zep fan! However if you have a DVD copy of The Wizard Of Oz,Gone With The Wind,and Woodstock,you have goldmine right now because,all versions of this film are out out of action now due the future reissues coming out late in the year,I sold Both Gone with the wind and Woodstock for over 50 bucks each,gave me $ to buy the Blu's when they come out,I'm eager to sew what they do with Woodstock(will it have Both regular and director's cuts and hopefully a "rainstorm" of extras,and well restored pictured and awesome sound?!) I do know that BOTH Wizard and Wind will look incredible,they after all have restored these a a zillion times! As like I said I dont see Blu ever having a "Salo" with white frosted ring(sounds like I'm talking about a breakfast cereal!),anybody remember those baby's getting over 1000 smackers a piece on Ebay(the price has since lowered because of Criterion's new version released last year),I remember seeing a new copy at a store(Borders I believe) in 1998 for 29.99 new and sealed,I would have bought it,but how was I to know it was gonna be worth a grand in the years to come,oh well! Paramount Blu's were OOP when the Blu Vs.HD-DVD War was going on.I remember when "Shooter" and "Rattle & Hum were getting top dollar on Ebay,those days are gone! As for T3,I'm pretty sure all the Terminator's are getting double dipped when the movie get released!

I sold my Salo on Ebay early last year. I got $300 for it. I thought the person was crazy, but hey. I also had one of the Russ Meyer LD double features, Cherry, Harry and Raquel and I can't remember what was the other movie, but I was shocked when I got $150 for that on ebay.

There are a few Blu-ray titles that are out of print. Anything from Tartan (The Seventh Seal, I'm A Cyborg But That's OK, Oldboy) is technically OOP since Tartan is no more. Also, I believe some of the anime releases from Bandai Visual are OOP such as the Jin-Roh BD and book.

Whoa, I have Wizard of Oz. I think I'll have to sell that one. I did the same with Nightmare Before Christmas before it came out on Blu and sold it for $40.

thats why when i found out they were going under i brought everything they had released in blu ray

People on Ebay have too much money and not enough patience. I have no problem selling stuff that I know will come back into print for silly amounts of money. I bought a copy of Barfly in a department store checkout cheap bin for 4 bucks and sold it on Ebay for 90. I sold my Batman boxset used for 85 because someone wanted it but couldn't be bothered to check if it was coming back into print.

1 DVD-18 disc. The genius even includes a picture with the sku & upc #'s, so anyone with 1/100th of a brain can look it up on Amazon & figure out it's the 2-disc version. What a scam.......
