Welcome to Blu-ray.com !

I couldn't find the Model # you quoted on the sonystyle.ca webpage, so I can't comment. Do you have a link?

John

It is on their Canadian site. Just a guess, but I think the hyphen may have screwed up your search. I found that link via Google. Google is my friend.

To get back to the OP, the home-theater-in-a-box looks good to me. It's got 1000w spread out over a 5.1 system. It looks pretty slick aesthetically, too.

Well, $250 for a 1000W receiver with HDMI, five speakers, a sub...sounds like a good deal to me.

To say the absolute least: if you had nothing before you bought that, you're getting a very nice upgrade.

The "1000w" is a bit of a joke. I hate how HTiB marketing punches up their wattage to unrealistic #'s.

I wouldn't get too excited about the other guy's wireless system, though. Those are never all they're cracked up to be.
