Default NBA 2k9 vs NBA Live 09

As we all can agree, the 2k series tops the charts in basketball game series. The movements are smoother on 2k than Live, and the graphics are slightly better than Live. Few things I've noticed this year's Live 09, is the mechanics of the game have been slightly better than the previous series. There online play is better also (thanks to EA server), compared to the 2k server. I like the idea of the Layup button is different than the Shoot button (even though u can still shoot a 3 using the square button). The blocking is horrible, and the steal/intercept is horrible also. The blocking in 2k isn't much better but its easier to pull than on Live. I've always been a 2k fan since the game came out on the Sega Dreamcast (which I still own), but I think in a few years, Live will be able to compete with 2k. In the meantime, I'll play 2k for the franchise mode, and Live for online gaming

To all sports game fans, let me know what you think of both games if you own them both.

every year i buy nba 2k and every year i sell it within 2 weeks.

i HATE the way the players move in 2k. they feel very loose and i get caught up in stupid animations that i dont want.

i havent played live since live 95 for the snes. well i played the demos and it seems pretty fluid and not so many 'boxed in animations'

i think next year im going to buy live. im sick of 2k basketball games as a whole

2006 - Traded Live 06 for 2K6
2007- Traded Live 07 for 2K7
2008- Traded Live 08 for 2k8
2009 - Only year that I have kept Live 09, it is def. an overall better game,

the everyday roster updates
the online play
be a pro
the graphics
the crowd and atmosphere of the game is a lot better
Hot and Cold streaks
The Game play does have a bunch of glitches that should be fixed in Live 10.
If you find a decent set of sliders though, some of the glitches seem to be less noticeable.

my choice would be live 09, 2K hasn't changed in 4 years, and they tried to coy live with their half ass living rosters which is garbage.

I think the last nba game I bought was NBA Live 06' for Xbox 360. I enjoyed it a lot. I liked the commentary between Steve Kerr and Marv Albert (no pun intended). I haven't really played the latest, because it doesn't make sense to buy these anymore. You play several nba games on there over and over again, and it just gets old to me.

I personally perfer Live to 2K. Just my two cents.

I feel ya.. All sports games are repetitive anyways. But people still buy them every year wishing for new moves, updated roster..etc... At this point of sports gaming, you can't change anymore to it. You just play because you love to play.

Live 09 = Bad-A$$! It is far superior to any NBA live previously made, and is superior to 2K.
