Default Who should be cast as THOR?

Okay, who should be cast as Thor? He should be big and menacing.

I really don't know for him. The best I could come up with is Vladimir Kulich from 13th Warrior

I think you have to go off the page for Thor and pick a Nordic unknown. The person has to nail the look and feel of Thor. Besides Thor seems like more of an actions not words kind of character so there shouldn't be many londwinded scenes.

What about Brendan Gleason? Of course, he'd have to keep his shirt on.

I'd go with Karl Urban from LOTR

The two suggestions so far, Karl Urban and the 13th Warrior fella, I'll back those. Personally of the two I'd recommend Karl Urban, he seems like a natural and perfect fit for that role across the board.

I'd like to say Liam Neeson, but I just don't know if he'd be right. Thor is tall.

He'd work, but I'm just assuming they wouldn't want anyone that's done a superhero movie in the last decade. On the flip side, he's a sure thing talent.

Lol, from The Mummy to Thor. I really liked Mummy 1&2, but it's a 'popcorn' kind of like. Personally I'd use Karl Urban, someone that's established but not huge, a physical fit, and probably easier to engage for a lot of movies. I'd vote for Liam Nesson but I just don't see it happening.

The guy who played Sabertooth in Xmen would be a good choice. I believe he was also in Kingdom of Heaven.
