I thought the DVD's were one of the best quality DVD's i owned, so I can only imagine that the Blu would be absolutely stunning!

Oh my god I have been waiting for this one. No release date yet? Its the greatest generation with the greatest mini series ever! Hopefully the blu-ray version will do it justice as well. I'm betting it will. J.H.

thats not a steelbook. it's a metal-pack, just like the dvd.

Is it safe to assume that the tin will be shorter than the DVD tin?
i.e. normal Blu-ray case height
That pic does make it look "squarer".

I dont care what the sound is on this set, the picture will look amazing, so long as DNR isnt used. I will be picking this up. Lets just hope it doesnt come out the same day as the godfather set. That will be an expensive day.

What does "DTS SOUND" mean??!!?!??? ARGH!! This is ridiculous!!! How stupid can HBO be to put that on there that way? I'll be honest, if it's just regular DTS 5.1 I probably won't buy it.

No tech specs have been announced. This is simply some offhand comments from TVShowsOnDVD, who deal mostly with DVD. Wait for an actual announcement of specs before panicking.

I didn't notice the DTS Sound label on the box art, I had just seen it in the little blurb written above. So you're right about it not being offhand comments. But the rest of the point stands - no tech specs have been announced.

That box art isn't even necessarily final, and advertising info on the front of a box is hardly the same as tech specs. It doesn't even say 1080p - should we all worry that it won't be 1080p?

One thing people need to understand is that "Dolby" and "DTS" and monolith words to most PR people. "TrueHD" and "Master Audio" haven't really penetrated the vernacular yet

I was thinking that too. "DTS sound" does sound like a general term and very promo-like.

6 Disks...this will be a good $150. I'm also wondering if it will be standard dvd case size or a blu-size.
