Does anyone have the UK release yet. Is the transfer much better than the DVD. It is region Free ?

You know I ordered it from Amazon.co.uk and it was scheduled to arrive July 7, so far no dice. I called them and they said to wait until the 17th. Once I get it I'll let you know.

It is indeed Region Free. The transfer is sharp, with a thin layer of grain throughout. You get a pretty good sense of depth. It's a definite step-up from the DVD! I'd definitely say it's a worthwhile pick-up if you enjoyed the movie. I don't have an audio setup capable of HD Audio, so I can't tell you how good the DTS-HD audio is.
