Good movie. It has the look and feel of Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan.

How is this? I've heard conflicting viewpoints - most of the negatives centered around the strong religious method it imparts on viewers - what did you two think?

Very good movie, very bad transfer in my opinion, but since I have it I'd like to track it in "My Collection". The UK Import plays fine on my US setup.

I'm a atheist (Seem strange to be posted that on Christmas Day). I did not find any religious overtones, I throughly enjoyed the movie for what it was, a good story set around the battle of the bulge

I'm also an Atheist and I didn't have a problem with any religious overtones in the movie. The movie isn't at the level of Band Of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan, but it was good. I usually recommend to friends that they watch BOB first, SPR second and SAS third. The timeline seems to work best that way.
