Where's Gangs of New York in Canada?!?

I know how everyone hates questions about specific titles and such, but I have a question that I've been wondering about one: simply, where's Gangs of New York? It was supposed to have been released a few weeks ago, I think on the first, but up here in Canada, nothing's appeared yet. A number of retailers here in Canada don't even have it listed on their websites, and I haven't read anything about a delay. So, where is it? Is Disney pulling a Warners, where they take a catalog title that we all know will be awesome on blu-ray, and delaying it or shipping a low supply for the longest time (Warner did that with V for Vendetta by delaying it by a week back in May, Blade Runner was completely missing for a number of weeks after its release, and the Kubrick films weren't released until late January, when the US had it in October). So has anyone heard anything from Disney yet? is it delayed everywhere or what's going on?

my copy from amazon came on the 2nd of July, order it from there if you can't
find it....You should have it early next week

I am having the exact same issue, I cannot find Gangs of new york anywhere in Canada .. Im pretty peeved about this crap and best buy, futureshop etc act like it does not exist when i ask them. I have no idea why it is not here in Ontario, even my flea market supplier where i get blu's for 20 a pop has told me that disney held it back for technical issues or whatever but when i showed him the bestbuy american site having it listed he was shocked and just shrugged and said he has no idea whats up then....

If you just want to buy the one title, I would suggest trying tower.com
They are better than amazon.com for Canadians b/c they only charge $5 for shipping whereas amazon.com charges $13 for the first disc. I ordered Oldboy & Batman Begins on Monday... hopefully they come early next week.

How does it get delivered in Canada from Tower? Taxes or any duty at all?

Not sure about duty, but I asked about this before and someone told me they ship using USPS...
apparently shipping via UPS you are more likely to get duties tagged on than with USPS (for which it rarely happens).
If I remember, I will post as to whether I was charged or not

Thanks. If it's USPS then there could be a $5 fee from Canada Post and possibly taxes. I am interested to see how it works for you.

I would usually rather just order from Amazon since there are never any fees at all.
