I think a Director's cut of Mimic can improve the movie a lot. We all know how the executives pushed Guillermo to change the tone of the story. That's why Mimic is his only flawed work.
I don't think a director's cut can make miracles but Guillermo can achieve something closer to what he intended originally. Something closer to his original vision. I mean if Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, etc. can make several "director's cuts" from some of their most flawed works (Kingdom of Heaven, Alexander), even when they are the only ones to blame (not the studio executives). Then why not to allow Guillermo to revisit a movie that was hampered by the studio? |

Mimic actually surprised me. I really liked this movie and look forward to the Director's Cut.
