I am very, very pleased to see this. I hope we get some more silents on Blu-ray, especially of City Lights and Joan of Arc.

If the rumors about Criterion having the rights to the Chaplin catalog are true, you will get your wish on City Lights.

Sherlock Jr. is great news -- I actually watched it yesterday, it's my favorite Keaton film.

Yeah, that's a good one, though I prefer The General. I DVR'd it and Steamboat Bill, Jr. on TCM a few weeks ago. I hadn't seen it in over a decade and I pleased that I still enjoyed it.

I look forward to seeing what Criterion does. Chaplin has some really good stuff. Not just the features, but also some of the one-reelers from his early days.

Excellent. I was wondering if these would make it to Blu ray.

Very pleased with these announcements.... I'll have to see what the prices are though..... (these are the types of films that are NOTORIOUS for showing up in bargain-boxed-sets )

Bumping this since I see that DVDBeaver has added Steamboat Bill, Jr! to the 'update to calendar' feature and it has an Amazon preorder date of July 6, 2010.

I suppose this must be the anticipated Sherlock Jr.

Very excited about this. Sherlock Jr is my favourite Buster Keaton film too. Hope the transfer is as good as The General...
