When do you think BD player prices will drop to $200 or less?

There seems to be a lot of speculation about this subject on various HT forums. What is your best guess?

I think they'll be very well priced for the Christmas shopping season next year. Both the likely popularity of the PS3 and competition from the HD DVD format should drive the prices down relatively quick IMO.

I chose 2008.

Simply because I think the players willl level out a bit at about $250 in 2H 2007 and sometime in 2008 we'll see a lower tier company delivery the $199.99 model.

If Toshiba managed $500, I don't see why $200 wont be possible in a year. I'm optimistic, voted for the 2007H1 - atleast one crappy brand will come out at that price by then.
Not saying that buying that would be a smart thing though.
