Bad Acoustic Karma - Blu-ray Forum

My living room seems to have horrible acoustics, it's kinda like attached to my kitchen and if someone is running water or putting away dishes that noise is A TON louder then the TV, I don't really understand how acoustics work, but I have REALLY high ceilings and like no carpet in that part of the house, we have a little puppy so we can't really put down rugs or she'll rip them up

So how can I fix my acoustics, other then putting down rugs and carpets?

Heavier curtains..... plants, throw pillows....

Cloth wall hangings or rugs on the wall

Also get that spray to keep the pups away. I sprayed everything when our dog was a pup and well worth it. Did not chew anything up.

absorbing panels in the kitchen and at the reflection points in the kitchen that you can use, that will lessen the noise reflecting out into your lving space.

where can I buy those? Do they sell them at like Home Depot or Radio Shack, or do I have to order those online?
