How are the new Sony sets? I have a 40" Sony XBR (1080i, 4:3 CRT), but I haven't used it since I bought my pioneer 50" PRO-FHD1, except for system link with my 360.

It is a new console only game. That being said, it will most likley be a first party game (exclusing Resident Evil).

To be honest I do not expect much, this looks more like a website trying to build suspense for their own website and own purpose. I am betting it is some hands on a sony specific title, maybe even something we already know like Heavenly Sword, or Lair.

Didn't the podcast mention it was something we have seen before? If that's so, then why would we be in awe? However, they did mention it was "in real time".. therefore maybe a game we have HEARD about but gameplay footage which will awe us.

If this rumor holds any water - and it is going to be that PS3 owners will be smiling - "IT" has to be the unveiling of HOME.

Remember, beta testing was about a month ago? Its about time then!

Home is considered to be a service rather than a game even though it contains minigames within. I don't think there would be an embargo or this much excitement built up for something everybody knows so much about already from beta testers leaking info, screenshots and video.

My guess is it's Killzone2 real time footage, and it looks close to, if not exactly like the E3 2005 trailer.

Why would they be unveiling HOME?

What is there about Home, that we not know about?

Killzone 2 however, we have never seen 'ingame' footage of that game, so it could be this one.

But I hope, it is an entirely new gama, that will shock & awe, but I doubt it.

It is probably Killzone 2.

From what I've read on the wide world of rumors that are the Internets, the game is most likely The Agency, a new MMO spy/espionage game in development by SOE.

This is what hype does - makes everyone guess what it could be, builds up hope that it will be what someone wants most... Think Island of Rhodes and how lame the countdown was.

A boat is a boat... but a Mystery Box could be anything! It could even be a boat! You know how much I've always wanted one of those. ... We'll take the box!

Personally, sounds more like one website just trying to attract visitors any way they can.

i doubt it. there is no way they are only going to do a short month of beta testing.

some people seem to be really missing the points in the article that specifically call the news a 'GAME', as has been pointed out multiple times in the thread.

did anyone see the big freakout over the 'crazy' special xbox announcement yesterday? It ended up being Pacman. Yeah, classic Pacman.

I of course assume Sony's news will be bigger than pacman, but you still never know.

Word is that this announcement is about something the 360 will never get and it was running in real time so a big hunch tells me this announcement could be about KILLZONE PS3 and it has actually reached what the trailer looked like. Also, we'll be getting even more announcements this month or in july at E3
