Default The Flash: The Complete Seasons

The Flash: The Complete First Season Blu-ray

Quote:
Just in time for its second season, catch up with the #1 show on The CW as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment release The Flash: The Complete First Season on September 22, 2015.

The Flash delivered the most-watched series premiere in The CW's history, and original episodes averaged 6 million viewers weekly throughout the season. Fans that purchase the set will be able to watch all 23 electrifying episodes, plus three hours of extra content, including episode commentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes and a gag reel. The Flash: The Complete First Season is priced to own at $60.10 SRP for the Blu-ray.

Central City forensic investigator Barry Allen is, always charming and - as a result of a scientific experiment gone awry - now the fastest man alive! He's The Flash, zigzagging through the action-packed new series from the creative team behind Arrow and based on the supersonic DC Comics character. With his life shadowed by his mother's murder, and his father wrongly convicted of the crime, Barry finds that his newfound power of super speed grants him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Barry quickly discovers he's not the only "metahuman" created by the explosive disaster...and that not everyone is using their new powers for good. Now, to protect the innocent, Barry and his close friends who know his secret race to combat evildoers, in one astonishing adventure after another.

With Blu-ray's unsurpassed picture and sound, The Flash: The Complete First Season Blu-ray release will include 1080p Full HD Video with DTS-HD Master Audio for English 5.1. The 4-disc Blu-ray will feature a high-definition Blu-ray and a Digital HD copy of all 23 episodes from season one.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin (Arrow, Glee), Candice Patton (The Game), Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries), Danielle Panabaker (Justified, Necessary Roughness), Carlos Valdes (Arrow), with Tom Cavanagh (Ed, The Following) and Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order). Based on the characters from DC Comics, The Flash is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Brothers & Sisters, Everwood, The Mysteries of Laura), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, Fringe), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, The Mysteries of Laura, Pan) and David Nutter (Game of Thrones, The X-Files).

Special Features:
  • The Fastest Man Alive!

  • The Chemistry of Emily and Grant Screen Test
  • Behind the Story: The Trickster Returns!
  • DC Comics Night at Comic-Con 2014 Presenting Gotham, The Flash, Constantine and Arrow

Day 1-2 for me, been following this series since the pilot, obviously we'll have a few audio commentaries, perhaps a few deleted/extended scenes, let's toss in a Visual effects bonus as well with a hint of Flash tribute bonus for good measure

Kilo that pic you have in the 1st post could possibly be the Blu/dvd cover considering they used Arrow's TV posters for the Blu/dvd

I'd love a Flash steelbook but that might not happen, best buy will most likely have a special slip/cover art

Mine isnt either! I still watch them as they air but its super annoying. I dont understand why its so hard to get the CW in HD in some areas.

Im excited about the blurays for this and Arrow...

Love the show to death, but I doubt I'll be grabbing this day 1 unless there's some exclusive packaging that might go OOP. I can afford to wait until it drops to $19.99.

What about him? I'm not proficient in my Flash lore. Does he turn out to be somebody or just the cop? And I am current with the episodes. I assume everyone is.

Well I'm curious with the character himself, like his origins, I read in a super hype article that in the comics he was Reverse Flash but then Reverse Flash goes by Prof Zoom

Well there's a lot of speculation that Eddie is either one of the reverse flashes (Prof. Zoom) or his ancestor because in the comics Eobard Thawne is Prof. Zoom.

Reverse Flash/Prof Zoom is Eobard Thawne.

Zoom who fought Wally West doesnt use the Speed Force.

The show isnt copying the comic canon.

Hmm ok I'll take Prof Zoom/Reverse Flash origin for $200 Batmon,

I'm aware that the show isn't completly following comics, I'm just tryin to get familiar with the show's characters, sadly I'm only familar with the Wally West from Bruce Timm's animated Justice League series

Do you think there's a chance the two S2 episodes of Arrow featuring a pre-Flash Barry Allen will appear as bonus content on this set?

I'm sure the Arrow S3 crossover episode is a given for this set, but I'd love to have the other Barry Allen Arrow episodes here as well.
