yes!!!!! love it! I think KINO is starting to be my favorite company releasing blus..... nobody is putting out the quanity of great catalog titles like they are!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() on top of that, Kino has the best cover art (usually original one-sheets)...... period. Last edited by AKORIS; 02-08-2015 at 09:37 PM. |

Kino has really tapped into the market for these types of titles this year. In addition to these type of films, I'm glad to see films such as Tales of Terror and the Premature Burial being released. Kino will certainly be getting my money this year!

Funny I watched The land that time forgot and the people that time forgot today on my Midnight movies DVD I almost never watch DVDs and I thought they looked pretty good for DVD one movie on each side. They should look great on BLU-Ray felt like a kid again.

I broke down and bought a region free DVD player this winter, along with a bunch of classic genre movies that seem like they're never going to get either a bluray release or a re-release on R1 DVD (ex, the ultimate hammer collection). I got Warlords of Atlantis and have to say it's by far the least of the four. It's got the best critter effects, though. It's still a fun time, but if we only get the MGM three I'll get over it
![]() Speaking of related movies, one of the other R2 DVDs I got was Hammer's "Lost Continent." Some pirate wench-looking character showed up in the third act whose cleavage was so massive it was actually shocking, like she looked like a special effect. I looked up the actress, and it was the same woman who played the cavegirl in People That Time Forgot! Hooray for Hammer and Amicus. Anyway, as I said in the Scorpion thread, I'll definitely be preordering this one too. The ATEC disc is probably going to end up in my top 5 releases of the year, I'm really glad it sold well enough to justify releasing this one too! |

Ah yes, a guilty pleasure. Only because I saw this as a kid.
One of the most misleading covers of all time. No underwater monster with a "laser zapper". No Tyrannosaurs with 3 fingers going underwater, no underwater probes with divers or sub with clear windows on the bow... Just guys in monster suits and Pteranodons with visible wires. |
