Surge Protectors - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys I have a question for you all. I just bought a Belkin surge protector at my local Home Depot for about $40 and everyone there says it will be very good at protecting my HD products. It has 6 outlets, 8ft cord and it has a maximum energy dissipation of 3245 joules. Plus it has the islolator technology that removes power line noise and the filters eliminate audio static and video interference. I wanted to buy at Monster Power Surge Protector but the price was a high at some places I went to. Can anyone tell me is Belkin a trusted product and will it do the job? If not I will take it back.

Any opinons would be helpful.

i think i have a belkin surge protector and i dont see a point to get anything else since you already have it...i plugged in a poweline noise thing and with with my surge protector it stops 98% of the noise..so 2% i dont think going to 0% with a monster will make much difference
mine had a lifetime warranty and up to like 10 mil in damage protection or something....i wish i had 10 mil worth of stuff to damage though :P

Belkin is a popular cable company. You shouldn't have any problems with it. I myself use a Belkin surge protector.
