I think most of us understand that you are not saying the X360 is better than the PS3. I even backed up that point earlier in this thread.

However, it takes a certain amount of power just to see a difference on the screen. We are seeing a significant difference in graphics. We have seen more objects on screen, higher resolution (more pixels), and much better sound. Plus, we're seeing this in less time than the competition and with a larger learning curve. To me that indicates a more powerful console. If it doesn't, then I don't know how anyone is suppose to determine these things...do you?

We don't even know how much more will be brought to the PS3 gaming experience 2 to 4 years out (even more engaging physics environments and better graphics). We aren't even 2 years in and we have games (here now or in the near future) like GT5P, MGS4 and KZ2 and we aren't even 2 years in the PS3's lifecycle.

That's what I'm trying to tell people that think both these consoles are equal in power.

A point often missed. If Halo 3 was the highest that the 360 could do graphically in what, 3 years, and the PS3 is already on par with Halo 3 with games like Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid 4 at 2 years in its life cycle then we are looking at a powerful system. Especially considering that the full potential of the PS3 has yet to be tapped even with Kojima's work on MGS4.

Gears of War ALMOST made me buy an Xbox. I think that game would be insane in Blu.

Halo 3 came out on the 2 year anniversary, not 3.

wont be as good as Blu-ray is. but I dont want microsofts xbox with a Blu-ray player at all. Blu-ray playstation ONLY!!!

I was a little suprised at the fact that they didn't decide to put games on Hd-Dvd instead right from the get go. But then again they wanted a stalemate to better market their downloads.

exactly. they didnt use HD-DVD for games because they knew it was a crash n' burn.

Xbox Mark II is a PC. So get a PC with a Blu-ray Drive.

I'm planning on modding my PSP with a 60GB ipod HDD, all i need to do is make sure everything connects properly and then i can start the ultimate PSP mod!
