Default Blu-Ray/DVD Storage Pics

Over in the Home Theater Pics thread, I notice people have all sorts of different setups for their movie collection. How bout we start a thread showing just your movie collection storage setup?

Great idea!

Mine sucks is very ordinary for the moment and since the picture was taken I had to take over the side shelf to store everything (which is not making my gf very happy...).

I can't wait to see some from other members to give me ideas... I would like some kind of drawers. Anyway! Let's get this started!

I built this last weekend. I've got two more wall cabinets to build, then three base cabinets and a counter top. Then I'll put up some crown molding and door trim and paint. Then Ill be done..., until the next project idea comes along.

My DVDs are in boxes...... waiting to move!!!! I will have a completely new storage area setup at the new house (I'm actually going to put them on shelves in the theater room! I'm going to use the movies as an accoustical wall treatment Foam behind the shelving)

Great thread idea! We are really stuck for a way to store blus/DVDs/CDs. I'm tired of looking at those shelves of raw CDs in particular (have around 1,000 of 'em).

Carry on...

Here's the one my Dad and I built for my home theater. This is made to hold up to 1,500 discs. We built it right into the wall, cutting the floor moulding and chair rail out where the shelves would be. It is 2 halves and the total cost for this was 110.00. That's all the wood, paint etc. Let me know what you all think. If anyone wants to build one like this PM me and I can get the measurements when I get some time later.

Very nice job. Did you paint it in place, or disassemble and paint? I'm planning on finishing my cabinets this weekend (Florida weather permitting) and since I'm going to be painting the baseboards, door trim, and crown molding the same color I've decided to spray mine in place.

Been there, done that. Here's a few pictures of my cabinet buildups that I did for my Theater, as seen over in the other thread.

^ Haha. They're actually great for storing stuff (such as cables and CDs).

Yes this is a good thread.

I'm looking for a cool black shelf for DVDs and I've seen some good ideas. That skinny tall shelf at the beginning of the thread is cool as well as the BB shelf that two of you have already posted.

It's a nice wall rack, but you really need to do something about that "360 Green" it's sporting for your Blu-ray collection
