Default Beowulf Blu-ray!

Wow I can't find the Blu Ray anywhere for under 30$. Even on Ebay. I guess i'll have to wait a bit until the movie's been out a few weeks. No way I'll pay 40$ for a movie hehe.

Try Amazon.com, you'll even get free shipping. Fry's Electronics has it for $25.99. I picked it up today.

Watched Beowulf tonight too. It was fairly good and entertaining.

Also quite different from my other Beowulf Blu-ray: Beowulf & Grendel. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0402057/

In some ways the low budget live action movie was better, although it could not compare with Zemeckis' SFX and general intensity.

I would reccomend watching them both because they are such totally different takes on the legend.

Circuit City also has it for $25.99 as well until close of business Saturday! You can take their flyer and use it at Best Buy to price compare.

The Blu-ray adds a 'TrueHD' track.
Sometimes that makes a difference, sometimes it doesn't. (I'll be especially interested to read reviews when TrueHD 'Transformers' gets released, given that the DD+ was considered such a reference quality track)

I'm not sure, you will have to scan through the forums. I stopped purchasing HD DVD and sold off my collection quite some time ago.

Not as many differences as I thought there would be (still more than I care for though). Shame my copy doesn't have IME though. Still a great movie and not a bad job by Warner Bros.
