Question region coding

help please! I'm wanting to order 2 blu-ray movies from amazon.com.u.k. they are hostage and 13 ghosts. on the amazon u.k. movie description page both dvds show region 2 coding. however on the blu-ray region code info website both dvds are listed as being region free which, according to my understanding of region free discs, means that they will/can play on any blu-ray player. Am I right or wrong? now about 2-3 months ago I ordered sweeney todd on blu-ray from amazon u.k and once I got my ps3 player updated, it played. so does anyone have either one of these blu-ray movies that was ordered from amazon u.k. or putting this another way, are these dvds playable on any blu-ray players? which site should I accept as being accurate about the region coding? I don't want to order these blu-ray dvds from the amazon u.k, and they get here and don't play. so please someone help me here. educate me please! thanks.

never go by what amazon says their info is normally wrong in regards to region coding if the region code website says they are region free you should be good to go.

the region information on amasone.com, uk, what ever. the info there is not very good looks like they stamp region 1 on all discs don't think they even check.

I just bought a Bd from them "shooter" that they claim was region 1 did check here first:

http://bluray.liesinc.net/

and it is region free.

So I just bought it. When u make your order they give u a warning saying bla.bla.bla this is region and u can't play this etc.
