I'll hold out a few years for the inevitable 6 disc Anthology that'll release after this current trilogy plays out.

I think I'll have to pass. I have a feeling Fury Road will be getting at the very least one badass steelbook somewhere in the world. With that plus the Scream Factory release of the first, I just have to find decent releases of Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome.

Could this mean that Scream Factory's version of Mad Max could go OOP sooner rather than later?

I don't think I'll ever buy an anthology set unless the studio goes all out on each film, and by that I mean a very definitive release including new transfers for all the films plus lots of extras. A simple repackaging won't even get me to think about buying it. I do need Road Warrior and MM3 back in my collection but I'm holding out for better releases.

Current trilogy? I read Tom Hardy signed a contract for a five movie deal.

I think they could keep going, but at some point they'll have to introduce Dwayne Johnson, then Jason Statham, And then at some point Kurt Russell.

Gotta throw in Vin Diesel & Ludacris for a mid-credits scene too.

This is the kind of thing that makes me glad that I prefer standalone releases of films in a franchise. Just buy or upgrade the individual films, no need to keep rebuying to get them all in one set, which will become outdated soon anyway if another film gets released.

I'm content with my original Mad Max trilogy set. A nice steelbook of Fury Road will do just fine.

No man, I can't. People here will kill me. Not joking.

Said that, RW needs a different color timing.

I got The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome for $5 apiece back during a Best Buy U&S promo, and the Scream Factory version of Mad Max for $12.99...so, almost SEVENTY DOLLARS for the inclusion of Fury Road?!

Same here. Plus I feel like the first three movies kinda go together as one set of films anyway, and Fury Road definitely is the start of something new, being made 30 years later and basically rebooting the series.

I paid about $26 (Canadian!) for the first 3 films... no thanks.

Same here. I've got the Trilogy set already (along with SF's Collector's Edition of the first film). A steelbook release of Fury Road will go quite nicely with the tin...
