Sony BDP-S300 - Blu-ray Forum

hi i have the Sony BDP-S300 and i have a audio problem, i use a hdmi cable to connect to my 42" phillips full hd. When i play a blu-ray movie the speech is quiet and the sound effects are very loud. Is there any way to fix the problem? THX in advance

surround sound always sounds terrible compressed through 2 tv speakers, invest in a amplifier to produce the sound evenly.

For now, go into your audio setups when you watch a movie and select any 2 channel audio. Also, go into the MAIN MAIN MAIN audio setup in the S300 and trick out the audio to downmix pcm 2.0

I agree with the first reply you received, but this is a less expensive solution for now.

God knows i have the same problem, however i do have a 5.1 surroudn sound system, in some (most titles) the dialogue is very faint, and the effects is really loud...this seems to be an ongoing issues with the BDP S300 european models anyway...

I have the Sony BDP S-300. It is no longer being used. I replaced it with a Playstation 3. What a HUGE difference between the two devices.
