I realize that this has been discussed a few months ago. However, it was not available for purchase and there were no reviews back then. Now that the product is available, a reminder does not hurt.

Music label 2L (from Norway) combines a hybrid SACD with a Blu-ray "music only" disc in the same package. The various formats in this production are derived from the same high resolution source (5.1 channel DXD, 24 BIT 352.8kHz).

Finally, you can compare the different music and audio codecs: CD, SACD, LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS HD Master Audio.

These are the specifications:
Hybrid Super Audio-CD 5.1 SURROUND + STEREO produced in DXD (Digital eXtreme Definition). This compact disc looks like a normal CD and plays on all standard players and computers.
- Ordinary CD (16 BIT / 44.1kHz)
- 2.0 DSD (2.8224Mbit/s per channel)
- 5.1 DSD (2.8224Mbit/s per channel)

Blu-ray Exclusive High Definition Music – video only for menu guide.
- 2.0 LPCM 24BIT/192kHz
- 5.1 LPCM 24BIT/192kHz
- 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio 24BIT/192kHz
- 5.1 Dolby True HD 24BIT/192kHz
- 5.1 Dolby Digital 48kHz

Remember that some players or receivers may not go beyond 96kHz.

Search the forums, and you'll find a ton posted on this already. It's been hashed out plenty around here.

Most Blu-ray players can go to 24/192 and all receivers with dts-ma and TrueHD decoders have 24/192 DAC's.

However, the Onkyo xx5 models will process 24/192 dts-ma at 24/96, so you're better off selecting PCM.
The Onkyo xx5 models will also process TrueHD 24/192 as 2-channel only, so again, better with PCM.

If you have a Pioneer, Yamaha, Denon or Marantz HDMI 1.3 receiver you're good to go with either.
