Are you looking for Jazz on SACD or just music with trumpets? Here is a link with a partial list of available SACD's that feature the trumpet:

If you like Jazz, there are hundreds of SACD releases you might like. Amazon sells them and so do other certain retailers. Use the FAQ in the sticky thread at the top of the forum.

I know of no solo trumpet recording on SACD but as Clark said there are plenty of jazz albums on SACD featuring trumpet. Some of my favorites are Miles Davis recordings from the mid-60s with his quintet featuring Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock.

Default Opinion on buying used SACD or DVD-A

I didn't want to start a new thread and the title of this thread is pretty open so I am using it. I was in a Hastings Music store, they sell new and used entertainment stuff, and discovered they had an access terminal and I was able to put in SACD and dualdisc to find listings of many titles available through their outlet. Very few are in the store, but I did buy a new DSOTM as a hybrid from the store at the same price as the regular CD.

Their listing includes a mix of new and used media, I prefer new, but I don't have a problem with a used disc if it seems to be OK. So my question is whether with a hybrid disc if the SACD layer could be damaged/unreadable but the CD layer still play? I am assuming that Hastings would probably only test a disc in a standard CD player and if it works then they put it on the market. The dualdisc would be a more obvious test, but opinions on buying used media is appreciated. The nice thing with ordering in the store is supposedly I won't have to pay shipping charges, I haven't received any yet but hopefully I will soon find out if that is true. In a short time frame I found about a dozen titles I was interested in like Moody Blues, etc. and for the moment I am sticking with new only, but would like to feel safe expanding the range to used as well. What are your feelings about used media through a store like this?
