Default KILLZONE vs HALO

If rumours are to be beleived, Killzone is set to go up against HALO this september when it is released, but i think the first question on peoples lips is where is the beta for the online mode Killzone is going to come with since all online parts must go through public beta before release.

I'll let Shin-Ra find some tasty Killzone media for you all cause that really is his forte.

If I had to say what was better between Halo 1 and Killzone 1 I would Say Halo was better, and I think halo 3 will be better then Killzone 2 but untill they hit the shelves I cant say.

I doubt Killzone is coming out this year. We still haven't seen anything from the devs and I don't think they'd announce it at E3 and release it a few months later.

Also, I've played the Halo 3 demo and the Warhawk demo and I prefer Warhawk (minus the crashes ). I was a HUGE Halo 2 fan, played it all the time, but Halo 3 doesn't blow me away like 2 did.

Default We have a better canadite.

Welp, me personally by what I have seen. Haze (timed exclusive) is looking as if it could be more fun/entertaining than Halo has been. Until I see gameplay footage from E3 Haze is the FPS to look for this fall for competition against the overrated Halo series (the beta was boring). That is just my two cents on the subject.

i personally think HALO is the most overrated game ever made and there's nothing special or different about it if we compare it to other FPS i know half the ppl reading this will be like OIIIIII but thats the truth my friends
i've owned 1 and played 2 nothing convinced me about it
My money's on Killzone when it comes out NEXT YEAR

Boy I sense ill get in some trouble for this...

In my own personal taste killzone 1 > halo 1

Killzone felt more dynamic, the way you moved
how you cleared obstacles, how you had to fight.
It just felt "more". It took place in a fantasy land
but it is set with more realistic play in mind.

You go running into enemy fire you will be dead in
no time.

Moving from cover to cover using your allies...

In Halo my team mates just got themselves lost, or
just sat around. I would put them out of there misery.

Its predecessor Halo 2 was a graphical enhance and everything
else just kinda went down the tube. AI went further into non
existence where I failed objectives because the AI in large numbers
went awol never to be seen again. Further the allies would go to
great lengths to run me over... wanted to scream same team....

Now I will say I think Timesplitters have set the medal for what
a fps needs to accomplish.

How many console shooters do you know include a map maker?

Thats it for now...

Yea i feel Halo is overrated as well. Plus Haze is being made by the Timesplitters team, so I expect so great gameplay out fo that game haha.

Hell yeah, I think Haze will beat Halo 3. I liked Halo 1 and 2 and I thought Killzone was ok (Not as good) But Haze is gonna grab the crown. Especially being made as a ps3 game 1st. Haze is the next big thing.

I understand what you mean with halo 2 and I agree Killzone felt more realistic but Halo 2 had more. It was more fun aswell. I prefer to stay alive lol.

And I love mapmakers more then anyone. If a game has it, I will buy the console just 4 that, like the 360 and psp lol. I love it. And Timesplitters FP was great. Its was so fun although the mapmaker was great, it was a little limited. Far Cry had a great mapmaker. I do hope Haze includes one tho I heard they might not because its too complicated.

Killzone 1 sucked in my opinion and isn't even in the same league as Halo 1. I guess it's a matter of preference. I LOVE Halo and always will. I wear Master Chief underoos.

Killzone vs Halo. What are we talking about? Killzone series vs Halo series, Killzone 2 vs Halo 3, or what?

I've never played Killzone. I enjoy Halo, Halo 2 was ok. Halo has a good story and great music. The Flood was also a surprise. AI wasn't the best in Halo and Halo 2 has a better AI but it still not very good.

I don't know why there's so much hatred towards Halo. I've played a few FPS games and I haven't one that I enjoyed as much as Halo. I don't play FPS on PC, so I could less. Not counting PC games what FPS games do you recommend? Story Mode only, I'm not a big fan of Multi-player combat. I've played RFOM, good game, but I didn't care for it to much. The upcoming Killzone does look good. Prey and Perfect Dark Zero were ok, nothing great. I think the biggest disappointment was Doom 3.

I've never found Halo to be interesting in any way. I gave the series a various chances to win me over, but everytime I played it I was bored within minutes. I'm not so anti-Halo anymore because I've grown up a little, but I still have no interest in it. I'm not a Halo hater per say, but more of a Halo HYPE hater.

That I can understand, I don't really care for Hype myself.

I guess ill go into more details,
Halo 2 I ran into things during my attempted
run that I considered odd and well I tried

Everything from a tank ping ponging across the entire map from
the end to the start of the level, with many obscenities casted,

to enemies ghosting back into existence to mysterious vanishings
of enemies, to where AI refused to enter vehicles, where AI physically
would run me over on exit of vehicles,

to a AI player driving around in circles around a building and on exit
immediate refuse and death,

to watching AI controlled tanks (allies) in formation run into a wall as I continue by myself for the rest of game... (they got stuck and couldn't get out)

Now I will say multiplayer is the place that halo truly shines, I give it full
kudos with strands of gold and a large chocolate cookie in that department for awhile till the lack of bot support which to me "IS A FPS SIN" for games that support multiplayer.

For that comment about FPS story based that were not PC games...

Timesplitters 2, and 3 (do not play the first one)
Unreal 2 The awakening (this was released on xbox as well if im not mistaken)
How about Resistance
Ill throw Killzone into the mix...
Ill throw in some of the Conflict ones in (they had both 3rd and first)
-Conflict Desert Storm
-Conflict Back to Bagdad
-Conflict Search for more money...
-Conflict Urban whatever, (Name changed and im not sure which one it is anymore)

Okay thats one hecka of a long post so I will end it here for now...
