i personally think HALO is the most overrated game ever made and there's nothing special or different about it if we compare it to other FPS i know half the ppl reading this will be like OIIIIII but thats the truth my friends
i've owned 1 and played 2 nothing convinced me about it

Hell yeah, I think Haze will beat Halo 3. I liked Halo 1 and 2 and I thought Killzone was ok (Not as good) But Haze is gonna grab the crown. Especially being made as a ps3 game 1st. Haze is the next big thing.

Killzone vs Halo. What are we talking about? Killzone series vs Halo series, Killzone 2 vs Halo 3, or what?

I've never played Killzone. I enjoy Halo, Halo 2 was ok. Halo has a good story and great music. The Flood was also a surprise. AI wasn't the best in Halo and Halo 2 has a better AI but it still not very good.

I don't know why there's so much hatred towards Halo. I've played a few FPS games and I haven't one that I enjoyed as much as Halo. I don't play FPS on PC, so I could less. Not counting PC games what FPS games do you recommend? Story Mode only, I'm not a big fan of Multi-player combat. I've played RFOM, good game, but I didn't care for it to much. The upcoming Killzone does look good. Prey and Perfect Dark Zero were ok, nothing great. I think the biggest disappointment was Doom 3.

Hmmm, Chronicles of Riddick for original Xbox is one of my faves.

I've never found Halo to be interesting in any way. I gave the series a various chances to win me over, but everytime I played it I was bored within minutes. I'm not so anti-Halo anymore because I've grown up a little, but I still have no interest in it. I'm not a Halo hater per say, but more of a Halo HYPE hater.

That I can understand, I don't really care for Hype myself.

I guess ill go into more details,
Halo 2 I ran into things during my attempted
run that I considered odd and well I tried

Everything from a tank ping ponging across the entire map from
the end to the start of the level, with many obscenities casted,

to enemies ghosting back into existence to mysterious vanishings
of enemies, to where AI refused to enter vehicles, where AI physically
would run me over on exit of vehicles,

to a AI player driving around in circles around a building and on exit
immediate refuse and death,

to watching AI controlled tanks (allies) in formation run into a wall as I continue by myself for the rest of game... (they got stuck and couldn't get out)

Now I will say multiplayer is the place that halo truly shines, I give it full
kudos with strands of gold and a large chocolate cookie in that department for awhile till the lack of bot support which to me "IS A FPS SIN" for games that support multiplayer.

For that comment about FPS story based that were not PC games...

Timesplitters 2, and 3 (do not play the first one)
Unreal 2 The awakening (this was released on xbox as well if im not mistaken)
How about Resistance
Ill throw Killzone into the mix...
Ill throw in some of the Conflict ones in (they had both 3rd and first)
-Conflict Desert Storm
-Conflict Back to Bagdad
-Conflict Search for more money...
-Conflict Urban whatever, (Name changed and im not sure which one it is anymore)

Okay thats one hecka of a long post so I will end it here for now...

I guess I'm not a FPS fan.
Timesplitters 2 was ok, graphics were better on Halo.
Resistance Fall of man : Ok, For some reason it feels like Call of Duty to me.
Killzone: Never played
Conflict Desert Storm - didn't like, so I didn't get into the rest.
Unreal 2 The awakening - I could never get into.

Has anyone played Quake 4? IF so any good?

"Now I will say I think Timesplitters have set the medal for what
a fps needs to accomplish."

Hell yeah!
