Default Comics on Blu-ray

I am a huge comic book fan, and comics are without a doubt my favorite artistic medium other than film. I am definitely more of a DC guy, but still a Marvel fan as well. In my BD collection, I'm trying to build a library of the best comic book movies available. As for as that genre goes, I only have SUPERMAN THE MOVIE, THE NEW FRONTIER and BATMAN BEGINS. I am definitely looking forward to IRON MAN, and both HULK movies on the format, as well as THE DARK KNIGHT, and the BATMAN ANTHOLOGY when they are released.

What are some good titles you'd guys recommend? Since I am a DC fan, I'm considering getting V FOR VENDETTA and CONSTANTINE, even though I've never seen them. Funnily enough, my most wanted BD title is WATCHMEN, and I haven't even seen it yet!

I suggest you get every single comic-related titles on Bluray. All of them are well worth watching at least once.

Gotham Knight
Ultimate Avengers
Dr. Strange
Justice league season 1
Fantastic four 1 and 2
Spiderman 1-3
X-men 3

You might be interested in Jumper. I will second the recommendation for Justice League: season one. The 60's Batman movie based off the tv show is also on Blu-ray.

Thanks for the replies. JUSTICE LEAGUE season 1 is definitely on my "to-buy" list, as I never bought it on DVD (although oddly enough I have both seasons of JLU.) I want the SPIDERMAN set, but unfortunately, it is too much right now for a barebones release. Maybe if I can find it for under 50 bucks, or if special editions of the first two are released, I'll get them. I am also a FANTASTIC FOUR fan, but I would much rather wait for the Extended Edition to come out on BD.

Can any of you guys recommed SUPERMAN RETURNS? I own the DVD, but was wondering if it was worth the upgrade, like with the first Donner film.

Wait until the new release of it comes out on September 9th to pick it up. It includes a PCM soundtrack that is awesome.

Fellow comic fan here. (note the Avy)

Definitely Check out Vendetta, 300, Sin City (not sure when its coming out), and Helboy....
Also keep an eye out for Wanted... should be released around X-mas time I'd venture a guess. It's VERY loosely based on the comic... but it's one of those rare occourances where the Movie takes a massive departure but is able to stand on it's own... it was very enjoyable.

And yes, Watchmen should be amazing... I surprised Kevin Smith didn't explode with happiness based on his review. If it comes close to living up to what he and others have said, it'll be amazing!
