Question Sony KDL40V2500 vs KDL40XBR2

I am looking at getting a new tv and Fry's has the Sony KDL40V2500 priced at 1599.00 right now, the lowest I have ever seen it. I want the XBR2 but I would have to wait a while for it to go on sale. Has anyone seen the picture quality of BluRay on the V2500. How does it compare to the XBR, and do you think it's worth it to save the money.
