There is a 3000 series that will be out later this year with an improved LCD screen, and a built in mic for Skype. Other than that it is the same as the slim model out now. I wish they would come out with one that has a second thumbstick. It would make action/fps games so much easier.

Yes, the PSP is still worth it, especially when you are delayed at the airport. Wait for the 3000 series though. The screen is supposed to be better although I can't complain about the one I have. The PSN has downloadable content (ie games and movies) that can (Shin-Ra, I'll try it this weekend) transfer from your PS3 to your PSP.
