Anybody remember VR5?
It was on FOX, before the X-Files, for a season.
It was the only genuine Cyberpunk TV show (aside from Max Headroom) America has ever had. Well, aside from Harsh Realm. That show got canceled too, though. What's with America canceling all of its Cyberpunk programming? Neverwhere did well in the UK from what I know.
Does anybody else have fond memories of that show? I'd like to see it released, sometime. You can find clips on YouTube but that's about it.

They got cancelled because there is not a mainstream audience for Cyberpunk TV Shows. Whatever that means.

Brisco County Jr. ran for years in syndication and had a pretty big cult following. The original Wild Wild West series ran for 4 seasons. They were Steampunk Sci-Fi. The oddity of a genre has nothing to do with how mainstream it is. It's just the luck of having the right time slot in combination with catching the viewing public at the right time.
Maybe I'm just a nerd, but what do you expect from Blu-Ray forum?

I'll make sure to talk about Star Trek next time. I know that has all sorts of mainstream appeal to back the success of the original series, the 3 tv spinoff series and the who knows how many movies.

The next movie (next summer) will be #11, I believe.

If you liked Max Headroom, I can't guarantee you'd like it. The show was kind of like Quantum Leam, Neverwhere and Buffy the Vampire Slayer all in one. You should watch the clips that are up on YouTube
