Just awful). 8th: 28 Days Later 9th: Spring 10: Insidious: Chapter 3 11: Ginger Snaps 12: The Voices 13: The Black Cat 14: Jurassic World (does this count?!) 15: Bloodsucking Pharaohs in Pittsburgh 16: VHS: Viral 17: Splatter University 18: It Follows 19: A Nightmare On Elm Street 20: The Babadook 21: Wes Craven's New Nightmare 22: A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night 23: The Devil Rides Out 24: The Exorcist (dir. cut) 25: Ringu 26: Housebound 27: Eaten Alive 28: Faust (Murnau) 29: What We Do In The Shadows 30: The Raven 31: Bay Of Blood I'm adding all horror films watched in October, as it's a struggle to watch one a day... Doing my Daniel Craig Bond's before Spectre on Monday, and even though all the horror films on my LoveFilm list are 'high priority', they keep sending me non-horror titles! I too shall keep updating this post! Last edited by Filmbloke; 11-01-2015 at 02:01 PM. |

Just updated the post above, up to film 22 on day 19. A few films ahead of the 1 per day target, but its easy enough to fall behind. All blu-rays so far, apart from "The Thing" HD-DVD. Could easily go 31+ blu-ray, but I'm not above including DVDs in the list and will be keeping my eye on the iPlayer as Halloween approaches.

Here's my list so far in watched order. Mostly weekday viewing, so I'm not going to make the full 31.
Zombie Holocaust Don't Look Now The Mummy (1932) The Mummy (1959) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Island Of Death Werewolf Shadow (DVD) The Vampire Lovers Audition Dead & Buried Puppetmaster Psycho The Wicker Man The Fall Of The House Of Usher Two Evil Eyes (DVD) Shakma Don't Answer The Phone The Whip And The Body Zombie Creeping Flesh Can't decide if I want to end things off with Hellraiser 1-3 (if the new boxset arrives in time) or Halloween 1-3. |

That's a tough call. I've watched the Hellraiser 1-3 DVDs this October, so I have fresh recall and they're great plus you'll have just got the set.
On the other hand Halloween 1-3 are a must during this period even if seen many times before. Best thing is either choice ends in a great result |

Not sure if this is cheating:
Time in the evenings is very limited so I've watched one episode of The Strain (seasons 1 and 2) per day for a total of 26. Movie-wise: 27: Bram Stoker's Dracula 28: They Live 29: John Carpenter's Christine 30: The Cabin in the Woods So one to watch before tomorrow evening... Last edited by gap; 10-31-2015 at 12:03 AM. |

I enjoyed it. Yes, there are elements that are shit but on the whole I found it a bit of craic - silly, funny, OTT. It's a bit of a mix of Hellboy, Mimic and Blade 2 - diverting but not classic. The cast are good (bar one or two exceptions) and it moves at a cracking pace. It did lose its way a little in the middle of season 2 but it came together again strongly by the end. For me it never reached the nadir that was The Walking Dead Season 2 so I'd definitely give it a few more episodes (the flashback ones are very good) before you give up. |
