I'm up to episode 3. Good but not great so far. It's bit slow and maybe not quite as smart as it thinks it is. I've always liked "the Nazis won" alternate universe stories though, so I'll stick with it for now. Alexa Davalos is good, the two male leads are rather bland.

I finished watching all 10 episodes last night and loved it. Initially I was a bit disappointed in this series after the first episode but ended up really getting into it and enjoying it. I loved the way it ended though I have a zillion questions about it! |

Apparently people are "offended" and demand that Amazon removes their marketing for the series from public transportation subways.

I don't think it's about that. You'll notice there is no swastika there, and for good reason as its a symbol, largely, associated with hate...despite the word origins meaning "good fortune".
While I like the idea, I think the ad could've been done in many other ways to promote the show. |

The only thing I would change, is that I would spend twice as much time with the parallel story lines, before switching. The short times between the changes now, seem abrupt, sometimes. When I watch the Nazi Officer John Smith (Rufus Swell) I think I'm watching Commander Lee Crane from Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea (David Hedison). Smith's son, reminds me of ST:TNG's Wesley Crusher. I was really really wanting replica gun maker Frank Fink (Rupert Evans) to get a Mohawk, but, I do like his "Clark Kent" eyeglasses. ![]() And, "The Marshall" (Burn Gorman), with his duster and shotgun, had me thinking of Tombstone... And, I Love the use of the origami animals... this IS a Phillip K. Dick story after all !!! Last edited by Eye Candy; 11-29-2015 at 07:17 AM. |
