Future Warner Releases - Blu-ray Forum

In the review of speed racer on this site, the reviewer said:

Warner has recently stated that they intend to offer lossless audio on all future releases. Let’s hope they stick to that plan and we never have another instance where a film is robbed of its full potential on Blu-ray.

I see this as a victory for all future warner releases. This also gives hope that they will revisit speed racer in the future with a lossless track.

I'd sure like to see this RECENT statement. Last thing I heard was through Bill Hunt and that was several months back and we've seen a number of lossy tracks since then and there are still a number of lossy audio tracks on the way.

I really don't think they've gotten the message. I think they know we want lossless so they will consider it, but I don't think they are commited to putting it on all releases yet.

They have an English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 option on Blow. I was amazed that they would include this on Blow (I'm glad though) and not on a movie such as Speed Racer (Never seen it, but I imagine it should be eye and ear "candy").
