Default Future Toshiba Press Releases

I figured I would just go ahead and beat everyone to these jokes. Stick with it 'til the end. Trust me.

TOKYO /PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba is quite surprised and disappointed by Universal's decision to abandon HD DVD in favor of Blu-ray, despite the fact it is extremely early to spot which format will eventually win. We’re confident that HD DVD’s afford ability, fantastic choice of movies, great consumer experience and upcoming promotions will help it continue to strengthen its share of the market. Not forgetting our hugely successful Super Bowl advert, which went down a storm.
We were particularly disappointed that this decision was made in spite of the significant momentum HD DVD has gained in the US market as well as other regions in 2007. HD DVD players and PCs have outsold Blu-ray in the US market in 2007.
We will assess the potential impact of this announcement with the other HD DVD partner companies and evaluate potential next steps. We remain firm in our belief that HD DVD is the format best suited to the wants and needs of the consumer.

TOKYO/PRNewswire/ -- Toshiba is sad to announce the departure of Ken Oldman. Ken had been writing our HD DVD press releases for the entire duration of the format's life. Apparently, Ken had folded up shop months ago and just kept copying and pasting the same press release over and over again while changing only the name of the company.

We were particularly disappointed that Ken made this decision in spite of the significant momentum HD DVD has gained in the US market as well as other regions in 2007. HD DVD players and PCs have outsold Blu-ray in the US market in 2007.

We wish Mr. Oldman success in all his future endeavors.
