Ok, wtf?

Run,Fatboy Run: $5,926,110 Box Office, 48% rotten, available in BD

Open Range: $58,260,046 Box Office, 78% fresh, not available in BD

Are the studios trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator? Let's see:

A Beautiful Mind: $170,708,996 Box Office, 78% fresh, not available in BD

Oh well, at least we have Dodgeball

Sorry for the overt hijack...

Well this low denominator would rather have Dodgeball and Run Fatboy Run(which Ive never seen) over open Range and A Beautiful Mind any day. A Beautiful mind was so long and boring.

I'd really like to see Open Range on BD. I have it on DVD and it's a great movie. I'm not really into comedy movies, the humor isn't my type most of the time.

Beerfest was pretty funny. Not as good as Super Troopers but pretty close.

Nope, they're trying to sell discs.

A Beautiful Mind won't be burning up the charts.

Dodgeball: $114,324,072 (Budget: $20,000,000 (estimated))

I don't know if you've noticed, but Dodgeball was a monster hit...

I'm sorry... how are we comparing Dodgeball, a sports comedy to Open Range, a dramatic western?

I want The Adventures of Mark Twain on Blu dagnabbit!

And I want it NOWWWWWWWWWWW!

Quote:
The Adventures of Mark Twain, released in the UK as Comet Quest, is a 1985 stop motion animated film directed by Will Vinton (best known for "The California Raisins" animation). After many years in television syndication, it was released on DVD in January 2006. The film features a series of vignettes extracted from several of Mark Twain's works, built around a plot that features Twain's attempts to keep his "appointment" with Halley's Comet. The concept was inspired by a famous quote by the author:

"I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year (1910), and I expect to go out with it. It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's Comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.'"

Included are sketches taken from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Mysterious Stranger, The Damned Human Race, Injun Joe (briefly), The Diary of Adam and Eve (Letters from the Earth), Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven and a rendering of Twain's first story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.

Beerfest was released on blu-ray as a NEW release, they generally generate alot more sales than older catalog titles and are a higher priority right now than catalog titles

Such a great film and holds a ton of nostalgia for me, I would definitely get it.
For the record Run Fatboy Run was actually pretty good.

I didn't think that Run Fatboy Run was a 48% comedy at all. I liked it alot, so I'll probably buy it. Still want Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz on Blu soon.
