United Kingdom Dodgeball UK BD - theatrical or unrated?

Does anyone have or know about the Japanese Blu-ray release of Dodgeball? The US was originally scheduled to get the Theatrical cut in early 2007, but it was postponed, and when it finally came out in late 2008 it was the Unrated cut only. The UK release came out in the interim, and its artwork looks like that of the US theatrical edition, but I understand the UK doesn't really do the whole "Unrated edition" stuff like the US loves to.

If the UK version were the theatrical, I'd be interested in importing it - but I don't want to take a chance when it'd cost a bit. I am aware that the UK Dodgeball BD is region B locked, but that's not a problem for me. Anyone have any info regarding what cut of the movie is on it? Thanks!

I too, need to know the answer to this! I was hoping the UK version was the extended cut but can't tell.

Are there any extras on this disc (like the USA version)?

I've ordered it and should be receiving it asap.

I'll post the info I can gather once I have it in hand.

The Amazon listing has it clocking at 89 minutes.

Thanks, I'd appreciate any info you can offer whenever you get it in.

I don't think runtime is enough to determine it however, as the two cuts differ by less than a minute - and when we're looking at discrepancies that small, things like MPAA or BFCC logos could be enough to throw us off. A quick scan of the content should be enough though.

For instance, in the scene where Justin Long's character is getting repeatedly hit by dodgeballs during the training scene where he's supposed to be learning to catch them, the old guy in the wheelchair yells different things in each version. In the US theatrical version, he yells "You're about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop." In the Unrated version, it's "c**k flavored lollipop."

Okay, I received the Blu-ray a couple of days ago and I'm pretty sure the trainer says "You're as useful as a cock flavoured lollypop", which would make it the Unrated version, right?

The UK version is 92 minutes isn't it? if it is it is Rated not Unrated as the Unrated is 100 minutes (I think).

I don't think there's any changes between the rated and unrated versions except for a few curse words. The duration remains the same.

Well, the duration should always be longer on the blu-ray compared with the PAL DVD since there's no 4% speed-up.

Sometimes the studios like fox have done in the past list the pal runtimes on the box and not the actual runtimes of the movie but have so far only EIV in the UK have done some PAL 4% speed up.

I remember cock flavoured lollypop from the cinema version, I think Empire had it in their review too.
