Okay, folks... we've got word on more Blu-ray Disc titles and street dates from our retail sources, this time from Paramount and DreamWorks.

In terms of new release titles, Tropic Thunder is expected to be released sometime in November, followed by The Duchess, Ghost Town and Eagle Eye sometime in December. Our sources are currently telling us to expect Eagle Eye on 12/26 and Ghost Town on 12/30.

The great news, however, is that a TON of new catalog Blu-rays are expected to be released on 12/16, just before Christmas. Hot Rod, Old School and Into the Wild have already been announced for that date, and Tommy Boy, Coach Carter and Heartbreak Kid are expected that day as well. Better still, Event Horizon, The Truman Show, Ghost, Last Holiday and Days of Thunder are all expected to arrive in stores on 12/30.

More great Blu-ray titles are expected in January, including Dexter: The Complete First Season (for Showtime), the Braveheart: Special Collector's Edition, Election and Zodiac. Election has already been officially announced for release on 1/20, and we expect Braveheart that day as well.

As always, keep in mind that these titles and dates ARE unofficial and are subject to change until they're actually officially announced by the studios in press releases and retail solicitations.

Stay tuned!
I will be getting

Tropic Thunder
Eagle Eye
Ghost Town
Hot Rod
Old School
Into the Wild
Tommy Boy
Ghost
Truman Show
Days of Thunder

Hope all these rumor dates are correct.

Yes, Tommy Boy! We finally get Chris Farley in glorious HD!

I'll also be picking up Into the Wild and Zodiac.

Slightly underwhelmed... then I espied "Event Horizon" and all thoughts of credit crunch, economic meltdown, global warming, international terrorism, war, plague and pestilence vanished from my mind .

Taa Paramount, you are indeed sucking up well and your past misdeeds may be forgiven.... eventually.

As a Scotsman i can't wait to get braveheart on Blu-Ray

Yeah Yeah it's historically inaccurate. But it captured Scotland's endless struggle to be recognised as independent nation perfectly.

Must buy

I'm kind of glad to see this list. It means I will be spending my money this Christmas on WB releases, instead.

I think most were looking for a certain gentleman with a wide brimmed hat and a whip... These particular (3) titles would have definitely made up for Paramounts indiscretions!!!

I'll answer for them Star Wars, LOTR, Back to the Future, whatever else is highly anticipated but everyone knows isn't coming for awhile title.

Seriously, some people can never be satisfied. What you hate, others like.

There was a helicopter shot in TEMPLE OF DOOM? I knew Fincher worked on that film, just not in what capacity. And how do you know what shots he worked on specifically?

Of all those titles, only THE TRUMAN SHOW has me interested. I might pick up ZODIAC as a rental.

You are mistaken. All people will never be satisfied, yet some are content in their dissatisfaction while others burn in it.

Give me Zodiac! Been waiting a while for that as well as Braveheart. Tommy Boy....I may snag just because it's classic Farley. The other titles aren't that great..

Into the Wild I have on dvd but who wants to watch that more than once? It's a sad movie. Great to see it in 1080 especially with the river shots but like I said...not much re-watch value.

Sad to say that Ben Stiller is getting old and is just not funny anymore(Jim Carey sound familiar?). Tropic Thunder I'll pass on for now. Maybe when it's $15 I'll pick it up.

I'll Snag Event Horizon as well that is a very underrated film.

I'm happy that Paramount is finally releasing some catalog titles. This isn't the greatest list ever, but, it's good enough, there are plenty of these that I will purchase immediately.
