Many of the BD-J discs don't resume from stop - I guess they have to reload the java engine.

However, unlike HD DVD, you can use the go to timecode or timeslip function to jump to the location you stopped at. At least for the discs I 'tested' this was the case.

I'm assuming the Java on this title is for that navigation bar? What else is it used for? The bleeding menus seemed cool, but I don't know if that's standard functionality or Java enhanced.

I hope this movie is decent. My girlfriend just has to have me buy it tonight because she really wants to see it. I don't really want to buy it, but I don't have a choice Am I making a huge blunder?

It's a little predictable, especially if you're at all familar with Japanese horror. There's another American horror I could mention that would completely give it away as well. Avoid looking at the pictures on the back of the box! But overall, it's pretty well done, if unsurprising.

I heard good things about the movie "The Messenger" having really good video quality, on BD of course.


But when i checked it in movies.com and has the horrible rating of the movie. They rated "F". The fans rated "B-". Is the movie overall really that bad??? Huh???? Tell me if this movie is worth purchasing or not.

Movie's OK for a few jump scares and some spooky ambience. The disc is awesome though.

I really liked it. I never got a chance to see it in theaters so I bought it. I thought it was very good. One of the best horror movies I have seen recently even if it was a little predictable. Some good special effects really help the story out. In my opinion easily a 9/10. Encoding onto Blu-ray is very good too, good PQ.

Can't speak for the picture quality on bluray, but the movie itself wasn't that good. Since I watch a lot of horror movies, I'm a little jaded in my view of the genre and what most people would jump at just made me roll my eyes. The ending was not what I expected but wasn't good enough for me to recommend it.

Not a very good horror movie in my opinion. I was pretty disappointed by it. Lame ending too. i wouldnt buy it, but thats just me.

It is pretty mediocre...nothing to talk about with all your friends. The quality of the disc is great though
